Round Square Conference Wellington College – Day 2

Her Majesty the Queen opened the conference and afterwards met with a student delegate from each school, in our case Antonella. Prince Philip exchanged some words with her while Federico Johansen and I had the opportunity to speak to King Constantine of Greece, the President of Round Square. After dinner delegates retired to their dormitories…an early night for all following a full day. Today, Tuesday, Nicolas carried the school flag in the official flag ceremony and later we enjoyed an inspiring “keynote” speech from Jasmine Whitbread the International CEO of Save the Children Fund. After lunch Melody Hossaini spoke to the pupil delegates. Although only 23 years old Melody has been awarded a “Woman of the Future” Award for her work in the youth sector and later won an “Asian Woman of the Future” Award in the same field.
