Cocktail at the British Ambassador’s Residence

Last Thursday Mrs Green, Mr Page and 4 students (Martina Freire Hidalgo, Sofia Varela, Malena Fronza and Candela Kalaidjian all from S5H) were invited to attend a cocktail held at the British Ambassador’s residence in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the First World War. As a part of the ceremony Martina Freire Hidalgo had been asked to read a passage outlining the support of Anglo Argentine women in the war effort by knitting woollen goods for the soldiers.

Martina read her piece perfectly and the girls were excellent ambassadors for the school mingling with invited guests and chatting to former students as far back as 1927.
