Forthcoming ESSARP Art Festival at BDS

We are pleased to announce  Belgrano Day School will once again be hosting the traditional ESSARP Art Festival in April. Below, the activities proposed:

• Junior Category:  grades 5 to 7
   Individual
  1) Pictures:  using a detail from a work of art as a starting point, create your own.
  2) Fragments:  stick a fragment from an object and design your own collage or painting.
  Group
  3) Collage: use images from magazines as a starting point to create a mural

• Senior Category:  years 1 to 5
  Individual
  1) Observation: fish tanks, water, reflection
  2) Wire Sculpture
  Group
  3) Mega Collages using unconventional materials

Each member school may present one participant per activity, up to a maximum of three participants in Junior and three in Senior. An accompanying (preferably Art) teacher is expected with each guest delegation. Junior activities will be held at BDS’ auditorium on Tuesday April 22^th, starting at 10:45. Senior activities will be held on Friday April 25^th, also starting at 10:45 am in the auditorium. All material will be provided by BDS.
