How to help La Lucena Environmental Learning Centre

Dear exalumnos and parents,

As some of you know, BDS had to cancel this year´s M2 trip to La Lucena, Ascochinga, Prov. de Córdoba.  This trip had been an annual event since 1993, organized by Peter Dunn and his team.  A forest fire destroyed the whole installation at La Lucena Environmental Learning Centre thus bringing to an end 20 years of incredible personal experiences and fun learning.

Peter has now set up a foundation and is in the process of receiving funds from all sorts of agencies and individuals.  It is for this reason that I am taking the opportunity to ask you to help in the reconstruction of a new centre that not only benefits our students but acts as a focus for environmental learning, for teachers in Córdoba, and at the same time supports the local community  with help to schools, libraries, health education and reforestation.

Peter´s project is to rebuild a centre of 750m2 so that once again schools may enjoy this special experience.  At a cost of $2.800 the square metre his foundation will be happy to receive whatever donation you are willing to afford. Donations may be made to:
