BDS keeps supporting the first Public Bilingual & Digital School in San Luis

0513_Escuela NELSON MANDELAAfter visiting the Nelson Mandela Bilingual and Digital School, La Punta, San Luis on its opening day, I had the pleasure of returning in the middle of May. A new school with bare walls had become an active school with Spanish in the mornings, English in the afternoons and lots of display material all over the place. The school had received a second donation of books from BDS and they were very grateful for the reading material for pupils of all ages. Meetings were held with María Celeste de Leon the Headmistress, her Deputy Head, coordinators and teachers. At a meeting arranged with the Minister of Education I offered BDS’s continued support to this interesting project and in my capacity as Chairman of ESSARP (the English Speaking Scholastic Association of the River Plate) access to teacher training courses in BA and in San Luis were agreed. It was also agreed that in the near future Janet Lenton would visit La Punta, San Luis to observe classes, give teacher training and offer help and advice as to future decisions/directions.

Last week María Celeste visited BDS in the company of Lic María Clelia Odicino, assessor and responsible to the Minister of Education for escuelas digitales throughout the province..  They toured Kindergarten, met with Luz Cerini and observed our five year old classes. In Primary school meetings were held with Andrea Pelliccia and later with Janet Lenton. They were very impressed with our school.

  • Great news, the one about the new bilingual and digital school in San Luis, congrats!!!
Even though the news about the Virgin was long I was delighted to read it. during the reading I forgot about my issues and after reading it. I felt peace. thanks for sharing this news because I wanted to know about this virgin. I´m proud of sending my kid to this school not only because he learns new things ( academically speaking) every day , but also because of the values he is acquiring and the things that await for him in the future, the journeys to other countries, doing charity work, helping others, etc.
    thanks a lot!!
