Round Square News: BDS goes Global!

0315_RS BDS goes Global

We are proud to share below the contents of the e-mail letter recently received by BDS Board and Overall Deputy Head, Mr. Federico Johansen. Belgrano Day School has been a Regional Member of RS since 2013, has taken part in different RS International Conferences and has conveniently expanded its Exchange program with schools all over the world which share and practice the Association’s “ideals”.

“Following the meeting of the Round Square Global Membership Committee, and the Round Square Board, I am delighted to welcome your school to full Global Membership of Round Square.

I am sure that you have already heard the good news from Chris Shannon, in his capacity as Regional Director. I wanted to formally add my welcome to his, on behalf of our President, His Majesty King Constantine, of behalf of the Round Square Board, and the growing community of Round Square Global Member Schools.

We are delighted to bring you into a stronger and deeper relationship with Round Square’s international network, and trust that you will benefit greatly, as we all do, from the opportunities that association brings for networking, exchange of ideas, materials, good practice, students and teachers.

Over the coming weeks and months, there will be an increasing range of opportunity available to interact with other Global Member Schools throughout the Round Square family.

With that in mind, you will shortly be receiving an invitation from UWCSEA to attend the Round Square International Conference in Singapore in October. We very much hope that you will be able to join us and look forward to seeing you there.

With all best wishes,

Rod Fraser

Chairman – Round Square”

  • Muy buenas! My name is Julie Delespesse and I’m looking to teach English at a school in Buenas Aires. I am working my “Professional Profile” and “Teacher Account” through Teach Away, Inc. of Toronto, Canada. It is not quite complete yet, but I thought I’d do some advance investigating into job opportunities in your beautiful country. I’m 65 years old, in excellent health, have my Master’s degree, and lots of teaching experience, even international. (From summer 2010 to summer 2011 my husband and I lived in Dalian, China where I taught English at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.) It was a super experience and my teaching was very successful. Just thought I’d touch base with you to explore possibilities. Thank you for your kind attention! Julie Delespesse, Tucson, AZ

  • Please see comments above. (I’m having trouble getting my comentario through. Not sure what you mean by “web”, so I’m using the web address of the community college I teach at here in Tucson. Also, that field was not marked with the red * so should not be mandatory.)

  • Hi, Julie

Sorry for the delay in responding, we’re just coming back from our summer vacations. You may submit your resumé to rrhh@bdsnet.com.ar (Human Resources). They will contact you further if there are openings for your profile.
Thanks for your interest in BELGRANO DAY SCHOOL.
