Docente innovadora rumbo a Toronto
“Nowadays, being a teacher implies having at hand different tools and skills that were not needed before. Communication, Creativity and Technology are three aspects that cannot be left aside when thinking about Professional Development. I was selected as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert a few years ago and, since then, I have been taking part in different workshops and activities. Last year I also became a Skype Master Teacher. I have made very useful connections with other inspiring teachers from all around the world!
This year I have been selected to participate in the E2 – Education Exchange which will take place in Toronto from March 21st to March 23rd. The theme for this year’s event will be Digital Transformation for Personalized Learning. During the E2, almost three hundred MIE Experts and fifteen Skype Master Teachers will get together to share their ideas and experiences about how to integrate pedagogy and technology. Another important aspect that will be discussed during this event is how to integrate STEM* for all students around the world.” It is worth mentioning that during her stay in Toronto, Flor will also visit two schools: Bayview Glen & St. Clement’s School.

*Note: STEM Education pushes to alter the traditional ‘lecture-centered’ classroom with a curriculum that is driven by problem solving, discovery, and exploratory learning, based on students’ interests and their consequent natural active involvement.
