Sitios de octubre: ¿Qué es eso del “patrimonio cultural”?

*Lo tuyo, lo mío, lo nuestro, lo de todos* Llamamos patrimonio cultural a aquel conjunto de bienes que nos pertenecen a todos los miembros de una sociedad, porque dan cuenta de nuestra identidad y son el sustento de nuestra memoria histórica -- hacia el pasado, en relación con lo que hemos recibido de nuestros antecesores y hacia el futuro, como legado para aquellos que nos sigan. La historia y las leyendas. La literatura, la música y las demás expresiones artísticas, con sus infinitas variantes. Edificios, calles, rincones... el paisaje de la pampa, puro horizonte, tan argentino. Y hasta un sinfín de manifestaciones anónimas, que a lo largo del tiempo han adquirido un significado especial para la sociedad en su conjunto. En fin, la lista es larga... Para conocer un poco más nuestro patrimonio cultural -- con miras, entre otras cosas, a la celebración del Día de la Tradición, el próximo 10 de noviembre- vayan los recomendados de este mes. ¿Qué es el Patrimonio?, para los chicos. Breve explicación dinámica, para comprender el significado y la importancia de conocer y valorar nuestro patrimonio cultural. Centro Virtual de Arte Argentino. Atlas de Fiestas, Celebraciones, Conmemoraciones y Rituales. Las fiestas, celebraciones, conmemoraciones y rituales de la ciudad de Buenos Aires constituyen uno de los principales referentes de la diversidad cultural en la Ciudad. Estas celebraciones son consideradas parte del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial y es por ello que este Atlas releva y difunde estas manifestaciones. Efemérides Culturales Argentinas. Una compilación de hechos y personajes, que se adiciona a las celebraciones del calendario escolar habitual, fechas significativas de un amplio panorama cultural (las ciencias, las artes, las letras, etc.), que posibilita diversos usos pedagógicos. Red de Contenidos Digitales del Patrimonio Cultural Acceder. Es un buscador en línea que permite localizar información sobre piezas que conforman el patrimonio cultural de la Ciudad. Para saber más sobre personalidades, libros, obras de arte, documentos, mobiliario, fotografías, películas y fonogramas, etc. Con un total más de 650.000 registros, posibilita acceso al patrimonio cultural y a la vez que garantiza su preservación para futuras generaciones. Sistema de Información Cultural de la Argentina. La Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación desarrolló este sistema integrado de información de alcance nacional, acceso libre y en permanente actualización, compuesto por cuatro áreas de trabajo: Mapa Cultural de la Argentina, Gestión Pública en Cultura, Estadísticas Culturales y Hemeroteca Cultural. Nueva biblioteca, nueva cultura

Hace tiempo que el Belgrano Day School viene trabajando en pos de la transformación de la BDS Libray. La biblioteca de hoy y del futuro poco tiene que ver con esos inmensos depósitos de libros, a veces desvencijados y amarillos. Hoy se trata de un espacio con un aspecto concreto y espacial, sí, pero con otro, de importancia creciente, que es virtual y que tiene que ver con la provisión de contenidos ultra actualizados, prácticamente en tiempo real. Hay un cambio de paradigma en el mundo, tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo, y es para ese nuevo paradigma que se debe educar. Los pasos firmes que en este sentido viene dando nuestro colegio van cristalizando paulatinamente en un verdadero cambio cultural. Nuevas prácticas y hábitos por parte de los alumnos dan cuenta de ello. Y, al decir de Vigotsky, lo que los alumnos hacen hoy cooperativamente en el espacio escolar, mañana lo podrán hacer solos. La autonomía que adquieren en cuanto a la búsqueda de materiales, la investigación y la resolución de problemas, apelando a las múltiples fuentes que brinda la biblioteca, es fácilmente fácilmente trasladable al hogar, el club, la plaza o la calle. El saber viaja en celular y en dispositivos manuales cada vez más pequeños y potentes. Y pronto se proyectará holográficamente hasta en el mismo aire... Algunos de los nuevos hábitos detectados en nuestros alumnos a partir de la última remodelación de la biblioteca, de la puesta en línea del catálogo, la contratación de las bases de datos de EBSCO y demás modificaciones son: * Se reúnen en los recreos para repasar para las pruebas y se toman la lección entre ellos, en la gran sala cerntral de biblioteca. * Aquellos que quieren estudiar solos, utilizan, respetan y hacen respetar la "sala silenciosa". * Se comenzó a utilizar la colección de referencia; por ejemplo, si tienen una duda, solicitan un diccionario (o entran al sitio de la Real Academia...) * Buscan más material para realizar sus proyectos, compartir en clases abiertas, etc., con lo cual se vuelven más curiosos y no se circunscriben ya a fuentes únicas. * Practican y difunden entre ellos mismos las reglas de la biblioteca. Nos cuenta Silvina Sala -- quien participó recientemente de la Jornada de Perfeccionamiento para Biliotecarios de Colegios Privados que organizó la Asociación de Biliotecarios Graduados de la República Argentina (ABGRA)- que los chicos han incporporado un léxico bibliotecológico que les permite referirse no solo a los préstamos de libros, sino a "reservas" y "renovaciones", por ejemplo. Ellos mismos ayudan a mantener el orden en las estanterías y, por iniciativa propia, generaron " El club de la Lectura", para leer juntos en los recreos. También utilizan las terminales de la biblioteca para acceder al Aula Virtual y subir sus trabajos, o para escribir los libretos de obritas de teatro que desarrollan sobre la base de cuentos, con extrapolaciones entre distintos géneros literarios, ejercicios de escritura colectiva y búsqueda permanente de referencias en Internet. Todo esto habla de un camino de renovación que atraviesa todas las áreas del saber. En otro orden de cosas, la BDS Library estará presente en la próxima Arts Week a celebrarse en agosto, con el objetivo de incorporar protagónicamente a la literatura en el evento. Así, niños, jóvenes y adultos podrán disfrutar de espectáculos y propuestas a las que difícilmente accederían de otro modo. Están previstas presentaciones de la destacada narradora María Heguiz, una sesión de "Cine-Debate", a cargo de Sergio Zadunasky, un recital de poesía en inglés por la intérprete Isabella Entwistle y la recreación del género del radioteatro, a través de la maravillosa voz y solvencia profesional del locutor Luis Albornoz, papá de nuestra comunidad... En horario aún a definir, la cita será en el Auditorio, entre el 21 y el 24 de agosto próximo. Mientras tantos, no dejen de consultar los sitios recomendados del último mes, especiales para estas vacaciones de invierno.

Un paseo distinto, en el tranvía histórico del barrio porteño de Caballito. Los tranvías parten cada 20 minutos desde una única parada, ubicada en Emilio Mitre al 500 esq. José Bonifacio, todos los fines de semana, a partir de las 16hs. a las 19.30hs. ¿Se acuerdan de "El Principito"? Esta sería su recomendación... Con sólo acercarte a las orillas del Río de la Plata y sin gastar ni un centavo, la familia tendrá la posibilidad de disfrutar serenamente de una puesta de sol. El Palacio de las Aguas Corrientes, edificio emblemático, guarda en su interior los tanques que abastecieron de agua a la ciudad de Buenos Aires durante más de medio siglo. El Museo del Patrimonio propone al visitante un itinerario que permite conocer el corazón del edificio, los 12 tanques que abastecieron a la ciudad, y además antiguos artefactos sanitarios, griferías y mobiliarios de los baños de otra época.
