En la era del MP3, el MP4 y los ringtones, no es novedad que la música sea una de las grandes protagonistas de las nuevas tecnologías. Como en noviembre se celebró su día (el 22) y en el BDS fue un mes a pura música, los recomendados de hoy tienen que ver con sitios divertidos donde aprender sobre este arte en castellano y en inglés. Los instrumentos musicales, grandes compositores y hasta cómo crear música. Ahí va:
Museo Virtual de Instrumentos Musicales. Los instrumentos musicales aparecen ordenados alfabéticamente. La descripción de cada uno está acompañada por su imagen y un archivo sonoro, que permite aprender a reconocer cómo suena. En muchos casos, se ofrecen otras ilustraciones: páginas de códices medievales y otras obras en las que aparece el mismo instrumento. Hay instrumentos convencionales, de uso en la música culta, otros populares y otros hechos por los mismos niños, con predominio de instrumentos folklóricos de distintas culturas.

Creative Kids Central. A collaboration of the Creative Kids Education Foundation and Classical KUSC (University of Southern California). In addition to a great presentation of the orchestral masterpiece Scheherazade, there are multimedia introductions to a wide variety of classical music settings and family listening activities.
New York Philharmonic. The New York Philharmonic Kidzone is a great tool for introducing young children to the symphony orchestra. It includes information about different instruments, composers and composition in a fun and educational format.

Stormy Weather. Listen to three classical music pieces from Vivaldi, Grofe, and Beethoven that demonstrate how musical instruments can be used to imitate rain, thunder, rising winds, lightning, and other characteristics of storms. The Symphony - An Interactive Guide. Listen to and read about instruments involved in the symphony and learn about composers who created great musical works. This ThinkQuest site includes a timeline and glossary.
Mama Lisa's World: Children's Music from Around the Globe. Features children's songs from around the world in the original languages and with English translations. Some songs include mp3's, midis and sheet music.
