BDS students receive Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards

The awards reflect the talent and hard work of learners, and acknowledge the dedication and commitment of both teachers and parents"- reads the Introduction to the Cambridge Ceremony brochure signed by Lucila Márquez, Latin America Senior Manager at CIE.  The ceremony was held on 22 June and BDS (former S6) students (Old Facrecteans class of 2016) received the following awards: High achievement June 2016 examinations series:
  • History, Valentina Cappa
  • Literature in English, Macarena González Virgili
  • Mathematics,  María Eugenia Balassanian
Top in Argentina, Lucas Reynoso:
  • Nov 2016 examination series AS Level Economics
  • Nov 2016 examination series A Level Spanish
  • Best Across Cambridge AICE Diploma

(Español) Portugués solidario: próxima “Festa Junina” para TECHO

(Español) Comparte la docente de portugués, Carina Lopes Santana, acerca de un proyecto en común con Community Service / BriDgeS: "El 24 de junio es una fecha muy especial en Brasil. Es el día en que se realiza la Festa Junina (o la Fiesta de San Juan, por el nacimiento de San Juan Bautista), un festejo en agradecimiento a la tierra y a la cosecha de maíz, entre otros cereales que conforman la alimentación típica del país. En esta fiesta, hay bailes tradicionales a partir del forró, música tradicional del Nordeste de Brasil; la gente se viste como campesinos, hay comidas y bebidas típicas, banderines ¡y mucha alegría! Este año, los alumnos de BDS de Portugués decidieron festejar el 24 de junio con un recreo solidario para colaborar con el proyecto TECHO. Ellos harán la cartelera explicativa y los banderines... Se escuchará música barsileña en los recreos de la mañana y venderemos brigadeiros y pão de queijo elaborados por los mismos jóvenes. ¡Es la primera vez que vamos a trabajar junto a BriDgeS, así que estamos muy entusiasmados! Los esperamos el martes 27 de junio en el patio de Middle & Senior, en el primer recreo de la mañana." ¡Esperamos las fotos! Y que la Festa Junina encienda aún más la solidaridad en nuestra comunidad educativa. Las de abajo son fotos de archivo y corresponden a ediciones anteriores de esta conmemoración en BDS. ESSARP course: a “Toolkit” for Kinder teachers

"This week, Ro, Lorena, Sole and I attended the first session of the course 'The Kindergarten Language teacher toolkit for success' at ESSARP. I have uploaded in General Information (Schoology) the three presentations the trainer  Luciana Fernández  sent to us, containing a summary of some of the topics she has developed so far. In this session, Luciana emphasized the importance of using songs in the classroom as one of the most useful tools for teaching English to young learners. She suggested that instead of singing the same routines & transitions songs throughout the year, we should try vary them. On Tuesday 27th we'll be attending the second session, more material and ideas to be shared with all teachers later". Marilina Giani - Kindergarten Coordinator

Las chicas de EW están empezando hoy  sus clases mientras que Sam & Zyad lo harán el viernes 16, ya que mañana Senior va a Talar.
