Cambridge News
Earlier this month very good results were received from Cambridge for those S6 students who sat for History, Literature in English and Mathematics at A/S level. In each subject the highest grade A was achieved reflecting the commitment and hard work of some candidates and the detailed preparation offered by members of staff. Congratulations to all.
During the week 14 September students will have their mock examinations (practice examinations) in preparation for the real ones that take place in October and November. All students from M1 and S4 will participate while in S5 and S6 only those taking examinations later in the year will have this opportunity.
Following on from the ESSARP Conference that takes place at the end of August BDS will host on Monday 31 August Michael O’Sullivan, CEO of Cambridge International Examinations. During his visit he will attend an English class and then meet with authorities of the school. He will be accompanied by Richard Gilby, Head of Cambridge Examinations throughout Lain America and Lucila Marquez, Senior Schools Development Manager, Latin America. BDS’s relationship with Cambridge goes back almost a hundred years when students sat for their “Cambridge Locals”. This is chronicled in the 1916 edition of “The Evergreen”.
